Collect quantitative data( number data, measurements, quantity, number of specimens, mass, length, leaf point number, etc…)
Identify with both common and scientific name (human for example are Homo sapiens, rockweed is Ascophyllum nodosum)
Time of day/weather (temp, humidity, cloud cover) other noteworthy observations
What do you notice? Are organisms cyclical, do they follow seasonal patterns? Are certain plants always found together, are there specific locations where more worms are found, what encourages a faster growth rate when do the peepers come out and why, etc…
