List of requirements for each entry:

Using your keen sense of observation and data collection see what changes are happening day to day or week by week in your surroundings. 

  • Take a picture or sketch 

  • Collect data qualitative data (descriptive qualities, color, smell, shape, texture, taste, 

  • Collect quantitative data( number data, measurements, quantity, number of specimens, mass, length, leaf point number, etc…)

  • Identify with both common and scientific name (human for example are Homo sapiens, rockweed is Ascophyllum nodosum)

  • Time of day/weather (temp, humidity, cloud cover) other noteworthy observations

  • What do you notice?  Are organisms cyclical, do they follow seasonal patterns? Are certain plants always found together, are there specific locations where more worms are found, what encourages a faster growth rate when do the peepers come out and why, etc…
